Wall Trunks
Wall trunks were made with special hinges that allowed them to be opened while sitting flat against a wall. The reason these types of trunks were made was as a space saving measure. When the trunk had to be opened in a room they could remain out of the way up against a wall.
Wall trunks made a limited appearance in the late 1800s and so they are keenly sought after in good condition.
